NOTES:

Another record that paved the way for Prelude Record's new sound of the early 1980s. String arrangements and the like have now given way to a more urban funkier sound with the scratching guitars and a more mechanized beat.

Conquest's "Give It To Me (If You Don't Mind)" is a very good record that showcases that the newer style emerging out of New York was a power to be reckoned with throughout the 80s. Producer Amir Bayyan is best known for the excellent "Love You Madly"Candela.

While not a rare 12" Disco single, this Conquest record will take a little digging especially as more people discover how good it is.

YOUR REVIEWS & COMMENTS ON Conquest

Deep in the second tier of "Prelude's Greatest Hits," IMO -- but a BIG hit back in the day on New York Urban radio, especially KISS (WXKS)-FM.

Producer Amir Bayyan is best known for the excellent "Love You Madly" Candela and maybe more for all the Kool and the Gang hits under the name Robert Bell.
