NOTES:

As much as I adore & worship Luther's Epic debut NEVER TOO MUCH ; I must admit that this album is easily my favorite.

It was nice to see Luther, who started in dance music, come up with worthy dance tracks all over again. I guess Aretha's JUMP TO IT and GET IT RIGHT inspired him to revisit his groovy past.

On this album : I WANTED YOUR LOVE is a great kick-off (Hats off to Marcus Miller and his slap happy bass !!) and I'LL LET YOU SLIDE is easily a knock-out success.Half-way between Motown and pure dance - this single was a great & saucy track. (Any song that contains lyrics like "If we do it twice in the morning - That's alright - I'll let you slide tonight..." has got to be a winner !)

But by far this album's tour de force has got to be the 7'23 long funky masterpiece called FOR THE SWEETNESS OF YOUR LOVE. I mean ; how can you miss when you have Tawatha Agee, Fonzi Thornton, Cheryl Lynn, David Lasley & Darlene Love on back vocals?

The album, Busy Body, also features Chic's Alfa Anderson, Cissy Houston and Patti Austin on backing vocals.
