NOTES:
I Wanna Be Loved By You is one of my favorite Claudja Barry albums.
Whether it is on the "Best of my love"-like GIVE IT UP or on the girl-group inspired retro romp LOVE OF THE HURTIN' KIND ; Claudja Barry shines.
The album also featured her sleeper hit BOOGIE TONIGHT (much better in its 12" extended version), the accordion-led almost tropical NOBODY BUT YOU and the funny yet accusatory HEAVY MAKES YOU HAPPY (with its "Shalalala boom boom yeah..." chorus). The album closes with my favorite track FORGET ABOUT YOU.
Still a delightful platter even today.
