NOTES:

This track was a massive hit in nightclubs of the day and this Larry Levan remix is one of his best.

A third of the way into this extended vocal version a bass driven breakdown with echo-ing vocals created that elusive “magic” that continuously packed dance floors with grooving dancers, this portion is then punctuated right after by wild tribal drumming featuring plenty of funky cow bells that was a blessing to any enterprising club DJ that was willing to use a second copy to extend this break to death.

If that wasn’t enough the instrumental side on this 12” is also a “remix” or ‘Dub’ version featuring a different ‘intro’ and distinct portions and effects not found on the other versions.

David Joseph was the Keyboard player for the UK group “Hi Tension” best known for their late 70’s “British Hustle” club hit single.

David Joseph also released in 1983 a new 12” on Mango records (PRO- 7806) called “Let’s Live it up” but this one failed to ignite the dance floors on fire as “you can’t hide (your love from me)” did.

YOUR REVIEWS & COMMENTS ON David Joseph

MASSIVE HIT?? Not in anywhere I ever went to or deejayed at. But then again I wasn't a very good deejay. I was never "up" on the latest music! I must have missed this train!
