Joe Causi
New York City radio DJ
Brooklyn's own Joe Causi has been a staple on New York's radio since the late 1970s with his spot on WKTU, which was better known as "Disco 92."
Joe has the Brooklyn attitude that his listeners love and can still be heard on New York radio hosting his "Studio 54 Classic Showcase," which plays the best in classic Disco music on Mix 102.7.

YOUR COMMENTS ON Joe Causi
Foremost:
I want to thank Joe Causi for providing an opportunity to be heard on the KTU Studio 54 Clubhouse with Brooklyn's Own Joe Causi.
Joe has been a component for Mix Show Radio over 30 years and I wish him all the best in the years to come.
Disco Music never sounded good until Brooklyn's Own airs it!
Sincerely,
The Lord Of Flatbush
Joe Causi is a colorful guy with a sense of humor. You have to hear the people who call into his show though. Some of them are really 'out there', like the 1970s never ended for them. Joe knows hot to handle them in his entertaining way.

Joe,
I went away on vacation for the holidays and upon my return I realized that you are no longer on 102.7. In fact, the station is no longer Disco 102.7 it has been changed to Fresh 102.7. I am disturbed that the only Disco radio station we had, has been taken away from us. You and Michele were a wonderful combination and the music you played for us had so much energy and memories, I always listened to your station and now I miss it. However, now that you are no longer around and the station has changed, what are we supposed to do? I am really upset about this and so are my friends. We actually had a conference call this morning about it and we are all equally upset that our favorite radio station has been taken away from us. More importantly, we are concerned that the yearly Disco Ball at Atlantic City will also be canceled this year. Can you kindly reply to this email and tell me who I can contact or who has information on the Disco Ball at Atlantic City this year. Joe, we really miss you and hope that you will return in the very near future to our radio playing our favorite disco music and entertaining us your different topics everyday.
From your disco friends.
Maddy, John, Susan, Peter, Frankie, Chris, Joanne, Jimmy, Maria, Michael, Tasha, Brittny, Ashley, Vinny, Paul, Louis, Sabrina, Shanna, and many more disco music lovers.

Hi Joe,
I am sooo disappointed and sad because mix 102.7 is no longer on the air!! I really enjoyed listening to the station especially in the mornings with you and Michelle. The music was right up my alley and brought back soo many memories. Have you move on to another station???

Dear Joe,
On my way to work on Jan 3rd, my first day back after the holidays, I tuned in to mix 102.7 only to realize that have changed it to Fresh 102.7. I was so distraught and I have been very upset this whole week. What should we do now? I am really at a loss. I always followed you back then. Where are you now? It's not fun listening to the radio anymore without you and Michelle.
Please let me know where to find you again?
Thank you. I miss your music so much!

Joe-
I am so upset that you are no longer on the radio and that Mix 102.7 is gone!! That was my saving graze in the morning, driving to work for 35 minutes. I woke up to you and Michele and I totally miss it!! I don't understand these radio stations. Doesn't anyone ask the public what they want??? We don't need another Lite radio station. Joe, please keep us informed as to when and where you're going to be!

Hi Joe,
I was very, very disappointed and upset that they changed 102.7 to fresh, and you are no longer with the station. I really enjoyed listening to the station every morning, etc. Really enjoyed you and Michelle. What is going on? Where are you now? I really miss the music and listening to you and Michelle. You were both very refreshing. The music of 102.7, the new dance mix, was my kind of music. Really upset over this. There really is nothing on the air to listen to. Also, what about the Disco Ball in Atlantic City? I went to it and had the best time of my life.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

"Studio 54 Classic Showcase" was my favorite show, no matter where I am on Sundays at 6:00pm I turn the radio on to 102.7. I can't believe this is happening again (waiting to see where Joe ends up next). Joe Causi deserves better than that, I hope this "Fresh 102.7, a ripoff of WPLJ tanks in the ratings. It's nice that Al Bandiero is on 103.5 with his show, but I'm used to "Brooklyn's Own" and 6pm-9pm won't be the same. Maybe Z-100 has room for Joe.
FRESH is just horrible. We have enough soft music. I cant even wake up in the morning anymore since you and Michelle are gone!! Bring back the MIX

Joe,
I have to echo the concerns and disappointment expressed by Maddy above on demise of MIX102.7 I sincerely hope you will be coming back with another show featuring Disco, and the Classic Showcase. The only station and show I really enjoyed.
Regards,
JOe Pantano
Hey. Just had to let you know how terrible this Fresh nonsense is. Hope they realize their error and bring you and The Mix back. I was at the last Mix Night and had a blast. Trust me, if you throw a party next week, you'd have to turn people away 'cause every classic dance music fan in NY would show. Peace out and come back.

Dear Joe & Michelle
What happened? Where are you guys? I can't believe this Fresh Garbage.
Where is the mix? We need you back the freestyle music was my era. My husband and I attended all the classic dance nights. We are freestyle freaks from back in the days of L'amour East,Paleds, Paladium, etc. We can;t jam on the radio like we use to.
Our music was classic, it was a real special time.
Let us know where you are we will be there. Keep Mix alive.
Joe Causi,
Bensonhurst, 18th Avenue & 86th Street is a mess right now.
Everybody is moepin' around like the world is ending. We need you baby!
Let us know where to find you ASAP!
I am going on a hunger strike til'
you come back!
Day one, No Scungilli... I'm slowly shrinkin'...
