Wayne Scott
New York and Florida Disco DJ (February 12, 1952 - Present)
My name is Wayne Scott and I was a DJ at the following clubs in the '70s and early '80s:
Rumbottoms (Long Island, New York)
Rumbottoms (Florida)
The Boatel Fire Island (New York)
The Pavilion Fire Island (New York)
The River Club (New York)
The Saint (New York)
Flamingo (New York)
Studio 54 (New York)
Monster (Key West, Florida)
Les Mouches (New York)
...and many more.
I notice that you have not mentioned Howard Merritt, Ritchie Rivera, Keven Burke and Shaun Buchanan. I believe you are missing alot of history!!! Ask Judy Weinstein!

Dec 23, 11 | 10:23 pmHi Wayne
I hope this is the same great DJ I used to hear at the Saint back when I lived in NY in the 80s. I was friends with Richard Erskine who did lights and am still friends with Michael Fierman et al!
I have a few mp3s of some of your nights from back then, and being a bit of a vinyl junkie, am trying to identify a couple of tracks on them. Wondering if maybe you,d be able to assist
Love to hear from you in any case'
All the best Huck

Don't know if you remember me, I was there at Flamingo in '78-'79 with Joe Long of Midnight Rhythm, Liquid Gold, Hallelujah 2000, Love at First Bite, Westside Strutters, Anyway, you and Richie Rivera did the best of the best DJ'ing and promos of all those. Best to you.

Aug 10, 07 | 4:11 amWayne;
Those nights....many great memories of the new york hey day...these kids today will never know.
I met you through Richie Rivera, I was an up and comer (dj), played at the Eagle at the time next to Jimmy Johnson.
I remember you because you were very radical...attitude and playlist.
Hope this finds you well.

Mar 15, 07 | 5:04 amDear Wayne,
I'm gonna have to ask the same question as I asked Sir, Howard. Please give us one unique selling point about Flamingo?
Oh I have 1 more for you, was the club more Diana Ross or Donna Summer?
Thank you
