COMMENTS ON Carmen Nataro
Carmen; I can remember when I first stopped by Someplace Else and you, the other Carmen, Craig & Tortu were talking about changing the format from all Live Acts to Disco/Dance music.
The booth was up high next to the stage and you had you guys would struggle just to get one crate of records in it. Then mostly with your technical skills and a lot of hard work we converted SPE into one of the hottest clubs in So. Jersey. Its funny to think the club was packed seven nights a week and the Teen dance with Valerie on Sunday afternoons that was mobbed also.
One of my fondest memories was how in the new booth our Technics 1100 turntables were hanging from chains in the eye beams. People would come and be amazed how they used to swing back and forth and how every guest dj hated them...LOL...until they figured them out...
Sundance, Discovery, Ciao and the Second Story your resume is fantastic , It was always great to hear you play, your were smooth as silk. It's also great were still friends and see each other to this day. Stay well and lets enjoy the memories.. Let's also fill in the blanks of the other Philly area clubs soon.
