I was raised in Philly. Momz brought me 2 AK in 1975. Now, Aug 2005, 30 years later, my cousin, "P" (Paul S. Thomas of U.M.E.G.-featured), shared this site. I remembered & looked up Georgie Woods. (Was that WDAS or WHAT? It truly has been a long time.) You will be missed, & you won't be 4got10, Georgie Woods. "Makuh no mistakuh, Jakuh!"
WDAS GEORGIE WOODS WAS THERE SO LONG I FIGURED HE WOULD NEVER DIE HE WILL BE MISSED BY MANY
I remember working @ the Hilton in New Orleans when Georgie came 2 the front desk during the Blk Music Convention in June 80's??? I recognized him, told him I was from Camden NJ & grew up listening 2 him on DAS. Georgie, being the great Guy that he was asked me if I wanted 2 attend the balls & parties they were having there. He told me 2 tell them @ the door I was his niece & I got in & got 2 meet alot of my favorite musicians. I'll never 4get Georgie or that wonderful evening I had thanks 2 him. I'll always love & miss U Georgie THE GUY W/THE GOODS & Great Heart.
