"DJ Dr. John" Bisci - Buffalo, New York Disco DJ (November 8, 1956 -- still alive!)
John Bisci began as a DJ in college radio station WECS near Buffalo, NY in '74. Credits DJ Tony Dee (Dragotta) of Buffalo, NY, with giving him his start: one night a week at Frisco's for $15 cash, an order of chicken wings and all the Icepicks (vodka and iced tea) he could drink.
Quit school to become a full-time nightclub disco DJ in 1976 and spun in the Buffalo, NY, area until 1994.

John Bisci introduced the beats-per-minute system of mixing Disco records to Buffalo-area DJs. Founding member of the Buffalo, New York, DJ Association. Hosted a live nightly disco radio show on WYSL in Buffalo from The Club 747 in 1979. Won the '81 Canadian-American Battle of the DJs. Was a guest DJ on a local disco TV show. Later went to work for WHTT and WWKB in Buffalo.
Moved from Buffalo, NY, to Charlotte, NC, in '94 to work as a public relations director for NASCAR teams. Now works as public relations manager for Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
