Tom Savarese

New York Disco DJ and remixer

 

Tom Savarese Tom Savarese was an early New York Disco DJ who also went on to remix a number of Disco records such as Chic's "Dance, Dance, Dance" and Erotic Drum Band's "Plug Me To Death" album.

    Good Morning Tom, or anyone else who can help - what is the song on disc 4, about 32 mins in,with the lyric 'bring all the joy, bring all the love, so we can be close again' ? i bought the 5 cd new years eve set a few years ago and have sought out quite a few tracks since, would love to get this, Thanks to anyone who can help, Julian.

    Tom was a person who was way ahead of his time. He was remixing LIVE before me,. and that was over thirty-five years ago. He made DISCO in the early 70's, and opened the door for others to follow. He should be in a HALL OF FAME somewhere. I would love to present him to the crowd, my introduction of him would bring grown men to their knees. Thanks TOM.

    Hey- If anyone is interested, there is a 5-cd set of Tom Savarese's work- each cd a full length continuous mix, that he did for some guy back in 1978 for a New Year's Eve Party. What a rare collectible!! This is the only work available of his on cd, so get over to eBay and snatch it quick before someone legally stops it!
