May 24, 09 | 6:58 pmDoes anyone remember the song that Vinnie used to close his show with every Saturday night? I can't remember it at all and I used to humm it all the time. I would love to try to find it on Youtube but can't remember the name of it. I miss his show so much even now!I'm a lifelong Bostonian so I used to hear Disco Vinnie on various stations too.

Nov 22, 08 | 9:13 amThere but for the grace of god go I; one of Vinnie's favorite songs from 1979, as well as a lesson to us all. Still unbelievable to have seen Vinnie lying there, with his original copy of "Bye Love" in his hands. Why, how could this be? Vinnie, a lot of things have not been the same since you left us.
I want you to know that every August 13th, since you were taken from us, I stop, weep, and a small part of me closes down some more; for the void you left can NEVER be replaced.
As I pen this, I think first of Barbara-Ann, Ric Poochio, and Mugsy. There has not been a mother's day since you left us that we could count on you rounding up the "jail mail", and playing The Intruders "I'll always Love my Mama."
Nurse Betty, Stephanie from the North End, John from Gardner, Mick the Biker. I could go on, but if just one person from the past stumbles upon this, they can pick up with the memories where I left off.

Dec 20, 05 | 4:32 amIn the late '70s and early '80s, I have fond memories of listening to "Disco Vinnie" on the radio while I was attending college in Boston. Italian-Americans were SO important in the development and popularization of disco, so much so that disco music definitely has deserves a mention in the history of Italian-Americans. I didn't know Vinnie was gay, but it didn't matter, because he was a great communicator who connected immediately with people over the radio. He made me smile. It makes me sad to know he's no longer here to spread his sunshine.

Feb 25, 05 | 2:52 amVinnie was the best and those who personally knew him, knew that he was such a nice person.
I enjoyed growing up with him on the radio and then we got to know each other and I became one of his "possie" members for which I enjoyed so much.
Rest my friend and keep the angels dancing. As Barbara noted in her posting, the music keeps playing, but it's not the same. Your replacement is doing a fine job though

Nov 07, 04 | 12:20 pmIn Loving Memory
God looked around his garden,
And saw an empty space.
Then he looked down here on earth,
And saw your loving face.
He put his arms around you,
And lifted you to rest.
His garden must be beautiful,
Because he only picks the best.
A million times we'll miss you,
A million times we'll cry.
If love could have saved you,
You would never have died.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we love you still.
In our hearts you hold a special place,
No one could ever fill.
It broke out hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God took you home.
Vinnie I will never forget you.
Your friend and #1 fan
Ronnie

Vinnie was a good friend of mine for many years a great DJ, he had me on his radio show in Newton at WNTN am station The day time nightclub
He had me visit him and had a live interview of me artist from Newton
Tony James, He is deeply missed someone I'll never forget, I even recorded a cover version of the Song "bye Love" and performed it at
Pride back in 1995 Live on stage at Bobbies pride block party
in Boston it was huge I performed live in fron to 7,000 people.I dedicated this recording to him, He alaways played the song at the end of his radio show.
