Apr 22, 09 | 8:30 pmHenry was a friend of mine I met at Moonshadow, an after hours club on 8th Avenue in the Chelsea district of New York. Henry was originally from Houston and had moved to New York, living in the West Village right off of Christopher Street when we met. Henry played at Moonshadow and the Pavilion in Fire Island Pines, among other places. I remember watching the Oscars with him and other friends at his place in 1988. Henry died at NYU Hospital later that year. R.I.P Henry - you were a nice guy and a great friend.

May 21, 05 | 5:51 amI knew and worked with Henry. I didn't know he'd passed away.

I reached this page by googling Moonshadow... as, during the time I lived in Chelsea very near the club my apt was sort of "pit-stop" after closing the Saint and continuing on after freshing up (lol) to dance the rest of the morning and Sunday away at
Moonshadow. What a magical magical place it was for me..many would arrive in the small space, with timbalis, tambourines, the scarf and fandancers. and I do remember Henry as a dj there, and an energetic lovely guy, very much in the sleaze/luv sweet heavenly music, I believe. Sad to hear yet another bright light has gone on , transferred to the other side ... yet I felt we touched very close to heaven often in those morning hours at Moonshadow- (our church)! Cheers, Smiles to all .....Gregory
