COMMENTS ON Larry Washington
There was a Disco record or Philadelpha Classic where you didn't notice in the credits Larry Washington - Percussionist or Congas.
R.I.P.
Besides Ralph MacDonald, there was no percussionist that gathered more fame and work than LARRY WASHINGTON. Between those two, they redefined the music a percussionist can create. Bongos, congos, snare, kettle, steel or timbale. What ever the drum was, he conquered it, and made it sizzle. I would always listen for percussion in every record I had, when one would amaze me, his name usually was LARRY WASHINGTON. Much love brother, we miss you. GOD BLESS.
