COMMENTS ON Joe Tex

Joe Tex was perhaps the most underrated Singer of the past 40 years.. He wrote over 300 songs including the smash hit "Fever" He had an excellent stage show. What I loved about him He never performed
songs the same.

Joe Tex was an inspiration from the likes of James Brown.

Sknny Legs and All, Ain't Gonna Bump No More and Rubdown were hit records!

A legend in Soul Music who's missed!

Joe Tex. I had heard of him before, but I thought he was a gospel or country singer. Then in 1977 or so, AIN'T GONNA BUMP WITH NO BIG FAT WOMAN came out. I remember the reaction to this song, dancers forgetting what they were doing, and everyone started to do the BUMP. But it wasn't a simple BUMP, no they would wind up their hips, and literally throw a HIP check, trying to wipe out out everyone. People would go flying. True it didn't happen like that all the time, but that is what I do remember about JOE TEX. Thank you for a great song, that kept me laughing all the time. GOD BLESS.
