Apr 14, 06 | 3:31 pmAh yeah,
Serge Ponsar, Back in the 80's I was a DJ at many parties while attending school a Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. That "Out in the Night" tune was one of those tunes I knew i could get the party jumpin' and yellin' with. I didn't know that Serge Ponsar was dead though. : (
how did he die?

Apr 02, 06 | 2:00 pmSerge also had a release in 1994 or 1995 titled "Homage". It was put out in France and is sung in French. The music is as very good but the language barrier is difficult for me to TOTALLY get into? Glad I have it thou....

Feb 03, 05 | 7:30 pmSerge Ponsar hailed from the West Indies and wasn't a very busy artists in terms of releases. All he did was making an album in 1983 entitled "Back To The Light" on WEA records.
However, it did spawn the huge dance track "Out In The Night", which obviously was released on 12" too.
I believe Ponsar died somewhere in the late nineties but a full confirmation of the actual date is impossible to get. Not much info on this artist on the net unfortunately.

Serge Ponsar's "Back to the Light" is pretty good and although "Out in the Night" is the commercial highlight he has the amazing "I Want Money" which puts him in my list top ten songs of all time.
