YOUR COMMENTS ON Jimmy McShane
Dia dhuit!
I've always loved the song "Tarzan Boy" since I was a little girl and I still play it all the time. Jimmy McShane has the most beautiful, angelic voice I've ever heard!
My friends and I requested "Tarzan Boy" when we were out dancing at the clubs last weekend. The whole place went nuts! We all still love Jimmy McShane!

I loved Baltimora (Jimmy McShane) I havent heard Tarzan Boy in years, and I rediscovered it, when I rediscovered my cassette tape collection, as that was one of the singles.
I recently had a dream in which there was a boy, who appeared to be indian, and was running through the mountains, and "In the forest, on a sunny afternoon." This "Tarzan Boy", in my dreams, dies, and I feel now, after listening to this track again Tarzan Boy was none other than Jimmy McShane.
I now, plan to make this dream into a pissible movie, as the title being called Tarzan Boy, the song, the theme of the movie, and the movie, a loose docudrama based in part, and very loosely on the life if Jimmy McShane, if anyone has any information about him, I would more than love to hear from you. Thank you.
Hasan

I read on many italo disco sites that in fact Jimmy was just a face for the cover of the albums,he never actually sang.It was in fact the writer and producer Marizio Bassi. The voice that we hear on many Baltimora tracks seems to have a distinct Italian accent to them, not irish or scotish like Jimmy was. Also there are no credits for him personally on the albums, just small print on one album as one of the backgroung musicians.Based on all this i don't know if Jimmy Mcshane was the man behind Baltimora. If you really want answers look towards Marizio Bassi,i think he is Baltimora.Cheers Peter
The fact that Marizio Bassi was the singer remains unknown. Although the voice's accent wasn't strong Irish, I don't believe it's Italian either, it sounds more British Isles to me, but that's me, I'm a Celtic fan. I watched a video on Google Video where Jimmy did a show in an extended concert trip, and although there were clearly voices in the background (for the tarzan cry echo), I could tell Jimmy was in fact singing.

Jimmy never actually sung it. It was the voice of an Italian disco vocalist that was cleverly, though sometimes obvoiusly dubbed! Jimmy was just a dancer they used to pull off the look...no more

I love this song "Tarzan Boy"..was
a teen back in early 80's and i could
feel the jungle come alive..with that
Jungle beat. Back then most of India
incl outskirts of hometown hyderabad was a Jungle, not anymore..
I could play this song over and over
and be left alone on a lonely Pacific Island.
Jimmy's a "unique" person..Its unfortunate such music will never be composed again.i pity.
My favourite music is key key karimba
,jimmy is very very cool and special lead vocal,i love the music and the
personal...jimmy....kisses for you....r.i.p.....
