COMMENTS ON Bernard Edwards

A musical marvel as his sounds made us dance, and still does today. In addition, his talent was passed down to his son who is a great producer in his own right.

Bernard Edward's was in my opinion the finest bass guitarist ever recorded! To listen to that intro octave pop in Sister Sledge's - Thinking of you, is like cracking' the chocolate covering on a Magnam, But to start to sound like him it will take £1000 worth of Ernie Ball Musicman Singray.

Bernard Edwards has no "clone" or equal in Dance Music scene. That genius can barely have followers, imitators or "inspired by" artists. I think that dancefloors, raves or whatever could be our today´s so called Dance Music Scene could no longer exist without Chic tunes and Edwards-Rodgers feeling and unique and innovative productions. Thanks God for putting us DJ´s here in this era TO KNOW SUCH A ARTIST.
We miss you even here in Brazil...

Wow, this man really knew how to make music and make you move. If you didn't get the will to move when you heard a chic song, you were sleep. What a loss.

FREAK-OUT! He's GONE?? It goes way beyond what he did himself. How about all the artists he produced, or influenced. To this day rappers use his tracks on their recordings. When he showed up on the DISCO scene, we got swept up in his obvious talent and desire. He always wanted to do it better. His rehearsals were a pain to watch, over and over until he liked it. It sounded good to others including me, but he pushed to get everything out of his musicians. The finished product showed that he was always right. Of course he will be missed, on his birthday every year, all deejays should show their respect, by playing his music. God Bless!
