Danny Higgins

Danny Higgins started playing music in Norfolk, VA in 1974 and soon was playing guest spots in Washington DC and other gay venues in the south Atlantic cities. In 1978 he moved to Fort Wayne, IN and soon started playing as a team with Danny Gallegos at Up the Street. He played guest spots at The Hunt and Chase in Indianapolis and several dance clubs in Chicago. He took a break from playing from 1985 - 1990. In late 1990 he was asked to start playing weekends at After Dark in Fort Wayne. He played for 3 years doing some guest spots in Columbus, OH, Toledo, OH and Chicago. He retired from the bar scene in 1995.

Danny Higgins is still active today on a limited basis doing mostly sober dance and karaoke events since gaining back some sanity in 2001. He still likes to do mix CDs and is currently working to get his huge vinyl collection digitized to MP3s. He is currently a moderator of the Disconet Group on Facebook.
