Vic Coleman A.K.A. Dr. Goodmix was a record store manager in Belleville, New Jersey. He started spinning music in 1976 as a mobile Disc Jockey. Influence by a Club Disc Jockey named George Rodriguez, who was working at a club in Passiac New jersey, is where Vic first had his experience the disco mixing technique, and the rest is history.
"Going to the New York City night clubs like Studio 54,Limelight, The Garage, Infinity, Rooftop was an experience." Dr. Goodmix start a mobile production company named "The Sound of Musique", name taken from the movie The sound of Music. Years later he worked the New Jersey Clubs as a guest DJ and landed a job at Joey Harrisons Surf Club North in Clifton New Jersey and work the Studio 1 nightclub in Newark, New Jersey, The Meadowbrook in Wayne New Jersey and Paradiso inalso in Newark, New Jersey.(Soon after to turn into a video rock/dance club)
"The decade of the 70's and 80's were very good times in the music dance industry, spinning everything from the 70'sVan Mcoy- Do the Hustle to the late 80's house music" Vic Coleman now resides in Scottsdale, Arizona and still has the passion for the pre-old school music. "The disco era will always be a good memory and will never die."
