Frankie Knuckles, the New York Disco DJ, remixer and Godfather of Chicago House in a DiscoMusic.com interview
Florida group (1995-1999)
No Mercy, an all boy group literally came from the back room. In early 1995 they were working at The Clevelander Hotel in South Beach as bus-boys, bar-backs and the such. They had a dream, and soon, before the year was out, they recorded a song. They became poster boys for the term"ONE HIT WONDERS".
Their Classical music training came into prominence as the Spanish guitar predominated their hit song WHERE DO YOU GO. It took clubs like an LA brush fire, engulfing everything in it's path. Everywhere you went it was played. It sounded like OLD TIME DISCO, in fact it was a song that should have been released in the seventies! It had that feel to it. Yet this ONE song changed their lives. No more catering to, now they were catered to. Life changed, money has a tendency to do that. They enjoyed their "Fifteen Minutes", and were soon gone.I know not what happened to them, or where they are today, does anyone?
