Responsible for the song Pop Muzik by M (b. April 1st, 1947-Present)
Are you wondering who this guy is? If someone had asked me, I would tell them exactly who he is. He had a song in 1980 that took the United Kingdom by storm, reaching number 2 on their charts. Soon it came over here, and became a success here. It was the culmination of twenty-five years of being a studio musician, an opening act. A no-body. But his hit, made him, quite possibly the biggest ONE-HIT-WONDER in DISCO history.
His song was a fusion of R&B, DISCO and the electronic New Wave sound of the times. For some reason he didn't want his name associated with his song?? Why Not?? We'll never know. This one song put him on the map!! While in France, he saw a street sign everywhere, and decided to call his self what the street sign said.
This song was played everywhere, a crossover hit that received so much radio play, it soon was POP. POP Music was hot at this time. That was it, POP MUZIK by "M". Remember this song?? This musician called himself "M". And POP MUZIK took hold in the Discos, becoming the biggest One hit wonder in DISCO ERA. That was/is Robin Scott!
