discoMelanie Thornton, born in South Carolina in 1967, was the lead singer of the formation "La Bouche". Unfortunately, Melanie was amoung 24 of the 33 passengers who did not survive on a plane crash near Zurich, Switzerland on November 24, 2001.

Melanie Thornton was well known for several dance music worldwide hits like "Sweet Dreams," "Fallin'In Love" and "Be My Lover.
