New York City radio DJ (b. 19?? - 2004)
Chuck Leonard passed away in 2004 from lung cancer. He was best known as a disc jockey for WABC 77 AM radio during the 1970s and then WRKS 98.7 - Kiss FM through the 1980s.

Are we talking about UNCLE CHUCKY here?? WABC was an amazing AM station in the sixties and seventies. Heard from Virginia to New Hampshire on a clear day, Chuck Leonard's voice carried a long way. He pushed his station to play DISCO, and compete with the FM stations. They didn't really listen, and the glory days of a super AM station fell by the curb. God Bless Chuck Leonard.
In 1977 my brother Scott and I did this benefit for the Lighthouse for the Blind outside on 54th street and 6th ave from 12--2 PM
We were DJing in the middle of the day and People were dancing in the middle of the street.
The radio Dj's that were with me that day were Chuck Leonard form ABC and Scott Bingham form NBC
I still have the flyer..all these years later
