Paco Navarro
Paco Navarro
New York radio DJ
Paco (Manuel "Paquito" Navarro) is best known for his midday DJ stint at New York Disco radio station WKTU-FM better known as "Disco 92." His favorite phrase: "Paco's my name and Disco's my game" still conjures up memories of the radio cranked up load during the 70s and early 80s especially when he hosted his Paco Supermix each weelday at 4PM where he featured such DJs as Aldo Marin and Jose "The Animal" Diaz doing their continuos Disco mixes.
Paco had been doing Spanish language radio for "La Mega" WSKU-FM the last few years, but is back doing classic Disco and dance for New York's Mix 102.7 on Saturday nights.

I´m tocuhed with these informations about Paco.
I´m a DJ here in Brazil and when I was a little child i hearded Julio Mazzei and Paco´s SuperMix...It was amazing...
Nowadays my little daughter call me Paco...
it´s a big mistery because she´s learning to talk and she don´t say dad or father...
She say Paco...
I would like to know a little more about this INCREDIBLE deejay.
Keep The Music Rolling...
Paco
I remember Paco then, and I still listen to him today. He has one of, if not, the most recognizable voices in New York City radio history. I still enjoy hearing his voice at the Copacabana where he hosts the latin nights. If anyone has recordings of Paco's Supermix, I would gladly pay a fee for a copy.
God bless Paco and his 92 KTU compadres :0)

Make the Disco92 Paco & Rosco sessions available!
Hello everyone! I was living in New York from 1973 till 1978.I'm russian, from Moscow. I still have disco 92 WKTU on cassette tape. It's amazing record. I don't know for sure who's DJ voice there, but it's deep, almost baritone and effective. Maybe it's Paco Navarro or somebody else /I wonder who it was?/ but the voice saying: "This are the sounds of Disco 92 WKTU, Cerrone SSSSSuper nature". Who could it be? With respect Andrew Kobysh

Anyone have any Studio 92 WKTU master mixes from the mid 70s or DJ Ted Currier mastermixes willing to buy them.
I remember growin' up listenin' to Paco on KTU. My fondest memories of Paco are when he's spin at USA Roller Rink in Jackson Heights, Queens! My l'il friends n' I would be so starstruck, lol. I remember gettin' an autographed pic from him *sigh* Roller skates, flashing lights n' Paco. That's what dreams are made of, maaan.
