disco Flamingo Joe was a North Jersey Disco Deejay from the mid-seventies. He was a character and a pretty good deejay. I knew him from his days at FIRE & ICE in North Bergen, New Jersey. It was here that he made a name for himself as an entertaining personality whose music reflected his attitude. Always a blast, he worked hard at perfecting his craft. I am sure there will be plenty of others out there to fill in all the blanks I left out.
