Corner 7th Avenue and Division St., St. Cloud, MN This tiny club, Matador, was open from around 1975 to the mid-'80s and located in the basement of the Cinema Arts Theatre, across the street from Perkins, and kitty-corner from the Model College of Hair Design. There was such a variety of people - all the international students attending St. Cloud State went there, along with the budding gay crowd in St. Cloud. 30-plus years ago - can't recall the names of the DJs or the owner. Delaware and Rush Street, Chicago, Illinois 60610 Happy Medium Discotheque with DJ Willie was one of the best black night clubs in Chicago in the 1980s. I think they first opened in 1977 and closed in 1983. Radio personality Tom Joiner was the MC. They had a ladies night on Fridays. Man I thought I was in heaven as there were so many fine ass sisters. I first went in October of 1980 and that's when I really saw just how fine my sisters are. Boy those where da daze Saturdays were the Bahama Mama contest lord have mercy they were in bikinis lady's of the '80s were busting out those where real sista's back then.
