Is there a way to burn a protected WMA file?

Is there any free software out there to do this?

Just capture it internally with your soundcard (if you have a good one) and a decent recording program, then save it in whatever format you like - there should be no loss in quality.

wouldn't that just be an analog capture/recording, that would also capture all the workings of the soundcard if not the spurious crap eminating off the motherboard itself? :-?

An excellent program is Cd Wave Audio Editor 1.9x
Try it! I have no background noise from the pc at all, but again as people have already said, you need a good soundcard.
