Default CD-R Pro and CD-R Consumer

Does anyone know if there are any cheap cd-r brands that i can use on my cd-r recorder (Pioneer) that cost less than (1.27 euros) per disc. I've tried using professional discs but the system refuses to recognise them. I've heard that you can buy discs labelled "professional" that are also (sneakily lol) compatible with consumer hardware. Currently i use mr. data blue red silver or gold brand.
