Default Firefox 1.0

Firefox 1.0 was released yesterday and after a day of testing it gets my OK.

I've been a Mozilla-adept for quite a while now and I'm very satisfied with their products (non-commercial) like Thunderbird and the Firefox browser. They are much more safer IMO and much nicer to handle.

Since I know that only a small part of the surfers are using it I was wondering if their are other members that are experienced with it and don't use IE anymore.

Or do you use Opera or another one?

Johan,

While I use Safari on my Mac I have used Firefox a few times and like it. Now that it is out of beta I will download v1.0 and check it out.

I've been using Firefox for months already. I still need to pull out IE for the odd web page though -- there are a few things which don't display correctly or simply don't work in FF.

That's true Graham. Sites that are not well-written are causing trouble with FF. But there aren't that many. For some of them you need to install plug-ins which FF can't provide.

But since I've been using FF (also for a few months now) I almost don't get Spyware coz most Spyware is written for IE. That's also a big advantage.

And Bernie, I don't know Safari. Is it only for Macintosh?

Yes, Safari is Apple's new browser and it's Mac-only.
