I drive between Maryland and New Jersey/New York often, which is about a four hour drive and find that even a six disc changer isn't enough as I like variety. My adding the iPod back in August was like heaven and now I can keep my eyes on the road instead of fumbling for CDs.

The cassette adaptor is frustrating both in looks and sound so I may get a new head unit with a CD changer port in the rear. This way I can tuck all the wires behind the dash.

Let me know if you find anything that can allow an iPod to be hardwired to an in-dash CD changer system.

Tying this back to the original subject is that using iTunes at home and an iPod on the road keeps everything synched between the two. When you add or rate your music on iTunes it updates the iPod as well. Simply perfect!
