Ok,
Now i want to talk about songs that piss me off cause there is no place to mix out. No beat breaks or instrumental breaks. I can think of 2. 1 is "Trocadero Lemon Blue" by Alec R Costandinos (theres enough fans out here i didnt even need to mention the artist name..lol) Not only is the track not long enough with no 12 version but..there is no way to mix out. Can anyone figure a solution to this? The only thing i could do with this is mix into "You Must Be Love" with its piano intro over the ending of 'Trocadero" cause they have almost the same exact tune. Nothing else would be smooth and even if it was smooth it wouldnt musicly sound right. The other is 'Out Of My Hands" by Dionne Warwick. A short track with no mix out at all! The only thing ive ever been able to do and it sounded somewhat good was at the end slow down "Come On And Do It (erotic mix)" by Pouzzezz(i cant spell their name..lol). The conga/bongo sounding inro from that over the end of 'Out Of My Hands" Does anyone have any solutions to either of these???

While working at the Rathskeller Club (?)I seem to have a similar problem with TROCADERO and I recall not giving it that many spins. I seem to have however written a reminder in the inner sleeve of TROCADERO to mix it into the 12" version of Patrick Juvet's LADY NIGHT, and on to - gulp - YMCA...

I've always felt the best solution to mixing with records that offer no break is the simple, yet artisitic, quick or throw in mix. In other words, throwing the next record in at a point on the record, either after a chorus or lyric, on point and on beat where as not to throw off the crowd and make it seem like an acutal break of the record. If done properly sometimes it can actually sound better than a blend or mix per say. Once again the art is to do it properly and with the right next record.

Easy,

Sam "ALL JAM"

Thanks for the solution and i have done that type of mixing style before. Ill try it next time i make a mix. As for the gulp....YMCA(LOL!!!!!!!!I agree, although, like it or not, it's a club classic and must be played to please the crowd)
