Default Pitching or de-pitching mp3s ?

Does anybody know where I could find a free or shareware audio editing software that has a pitch function ? I'd like to be able to slow down some of my house tracks and/or speed them up, then record the file to my computer. I can only find that function in virtual turntable software like DSS DJ, can it's no use for me, since I don't want that function for mixing purpose. I said mp3s but actually any format would do.

Easily acomplished with Non Linear Editors. Also many other functions such as volum, pitch, pan echo, reverse, mute, fade (in-out)...you get the picture.

Seems to me that what you really need is some sort of tool with Time Stretching abilities. (ie changing the track tempo without altering the pitch). It's a great tool for both remixing and doing megamixes on the computer.
Both software tools such as Cool Edit Pro and Acid Pro can do that for you - the downside being that none of these are free. :(
