I use my G4 Quicksilver Mac for such tasks.
Which Mac model do you have and which OS are you running (9 or X)?

Hi Bernie,

Thanks for your help. Mine is a OS X
I have bought 'Toast'programme, iMac USB Audio Interface and the cables to go from amp. However, there are poor instructions and I was hoping someone with experience, could give me some tips.
Any help would be much appreciated. as I have some great records that I need to transfer to my itunes.

Regards,

Paul

Not using the same setup/software as you, but the basic procedures should be the same.

The full version of Toast should come with "Spin Doctor" which allows you to capture analogue sources. Before you can use it though, you'll have to configure your system to recognize your USB audio interface as the source. This is done by going to "System Preferences" and clicking on "Sound" Choose "Input" from the tabs and select your USB interface as the input.

If you don't have the full version of Toast with "Spin Doctor" you can download a freeware audio editor like Spark. Good luck.
