Stanton Turntables

Does anyone have any experience with Stanton turntables? I'm asking from the perspective of a home listener, not a DJ. Any recommendations for a set of home-listening headphones?

as far as headphones, as long as your not to concerned about price try Bose or JBL, Stanton turntables are'nt bad, and will do what you want, i dont need to say that for dj work its always gonna be Technics(Damn i just said it.....sorry)

I have a belt-drive Stanton turntable, and I am quite happy with it. I don't profess to be an expert in turntables, though.
I use my turntable primarily to connect to my PC sound card, to rip records into digital form for personal use. It does the job perfectly.

The turntable has a pitch control and strobe light, which is great for ensuring that the turntable speed is spot-on. Also it is particularly good for avoiding jumps in records which might be scratched or warped - on other turntables, there are one or two records I and others have not been able to play, but on the Stanton, I have succeeded, occasionally by having to temporarily increase the weight on the needle (this is also adjustable).

I wouldn't recommend Stanton for listening use, but if you're going to go with that route, make sure that you do *not* get one with a short straight tonearm. These are designed for scratch-play/turntablism and the offset angle will always be so far off that they will sound terrible, regardless of cartridge.
