Interesting! I've been having these dreams periodically for over 20 years...still djing and still have them.

It's always me frantically looking thru the bins and madly glancing back at the turntable. Many times, I don't make it and the record ends.:-o Thankfully, it's only in my dreams...as real as it may seem..........

I think the interpretation would be basic insecurity, but I'm sure a psycho-analyst would have a field day with us.

Thaaaaats nothin'....he said. :-D :-D :-D

Try having food poisoning, being rushed by the owner of the Disco to the local doctor, having a couple of jabs in ass, being rushed back and told to continue DJing for another 5 hours until 4 a.m., 'cos the owner couldn't handle DJing due to too many uppers/being freaked out by it. As it happened, I felt in an incredible state of nirvana due to the heavy duty drugs the doctor had injected into me. Apparently, the regulars told me that I was really on form.

One night I was DJing a private party, and things were really heating up (Funkadelic's "(Not Just) Knee Deep" really set the floor on fire. But I was in a corner facing a wall and really couldn't keep track of what was happening behind me. Anyway, I finished one song and reached behind me to grab the inner sleeve of the record that had just finished playing. Shortly thereafter, I saw a couple people on all fours, sniffing the carpet. Turns out they had used the record's inner sleeve to cut coke on, and when I grabbed it, the residue spilled onto the rug. For some reason, those people never hired me again.

A great DJ nightmare happened to a friend of mine. When he was about 17 he spent some time helping a mobile DJ out , he kept on saying to this guy "can i do a party on my own. you know i can do it." This went on for months, until he got the word that he was on for a party the next week.He spent that week honeing his mixing skills. When he turned up for the party it was only a ladys 90th birthday bash. She didn't want anything more recent than the 1950s.
