I'd put the one you listed starting with D...assuming her name is listed first. As far as chronological, what do you do with records that have no dates on them?

Well, to each their own I suppose. For me, alphabetical is the most practical. It truly leaves no confusion if you stick by it with no exceptions.

around 15 years ago, i heard that a video rental place was thinking of arranging their videos for rent by movie company! not behind the counter, but out where the customers were looking. can you imagine someone saying to another person "...i think i'm in the mood for an mgm movie tonight....but we promised the kids a warner brothers film tonight, because we saw a paramount movie last weekend...."

i'm sorry, just one more from me on this.
picture your local telephone directory that you currently use in alphabetical order...but first you need to know which political party or religion they are to know what section to look in. and then.....

You know Marky, about the movies sorted by studios that would have worked 50 years ago. At that time each of the big studios had, in fact, its own style.
Now I have seen that kind of order on book stores...

NO-ONE will probably read this now but....
If I were a working DJ I think I'd be inclined to put my discs in BPM order first and then by artist alphabetically. That would allow for some serious mixing up of styles and artists. Or you could just work from beginning to end. Obviously none of you are DJs. TEE HEE

AnthonyA1971: Fair enough.
When I was a DJ I kept them in Year Order (1 box per year) and then by label. That would confuse the hell out of me now though!!
