Default SUNDET SOUND/HYPE

Hi Guys

I would like to know your opinion about some characterizations that have done in certain kinds of music.I remember that during 1989-1990(at the end of 80s) most greek radio stations called tracks from artists like Karyn White,Pebbles,Sheena Easton, and generally certain productions of Babyface as the sound of "sunset"?and they spoke about differences and resemblances with the new jack swing sound. From then I have never heard this characterization and I was wondering if it was an international characterization for Babyface productions or simply a terminology that only Greeks for some reasons gave to this sound.
I am also interested in the sound of "hype"I have observed that many remixes of njs songs was "hype" What exactly does hype mean?I think That Hype was also used the same period for some English groups like Charlatans,Happy Mondays e,t,c(Corect me if Iam wrong)
