Default Armand Van Helden

POLL:
I absolutely love this track! It's amazing how he isolated the original instruments and voices of the song. He must have asked Cerrone for the master since no amount of processing can drop the voice from a song. Anyway I know I'm a little late since this remix came out 2004, but the track is this:

Cerrone - Je Suis Music (Armand Van Helden remix)

Has anybody heard of it and if they have what do you think of it?

Well, of course. That's what a remix is: going back to the multitrack and, well, remixing it. Has term "remix" has been so misused and abused that the original meaning is now the exception and not the rule? Taking an existing two-track recording, chopping it up, and throwing some other stuff on top is not a remix in the proper sense of the word. Re-edit, mash up, whatever, but not a remix.

Default Worth Noting......

Thanks Graham. I really almost forgot what a remix was until you shed light on the actual definition.
