| Today I listened again, after about 25 years(!!!), to a classic country rock record that all the djs here were playing a lot back then..... Rita Coolidge "You". Great memories!!! By the way, nobody here mentioned another enormous club hit here in Italy. Pink Floyd "Another brick in the wall" |

| I always hated 'ABITW' by Pink Floyd; anything with kids singing has me running for the hills ASAP! :x

| Here are some more to add to this already extensive list: Dance with me - Orleans Black cow - Steely Dan Peg - Steely Dan Evil woman - The Electric Light Orchestra Fly like an eagle - The Steve Miller Band Steppin' out - Joe Jackson Freeze-Frame - The J. Geils Band Centerfold - The J. Geils Band Abacab - Genesis Working for the weekend - Loverboy I can't go for that - Hall & Oates We got the beat - The Go-Go's Hazy Shade of winter - The Bangles Cruel Summer - Bananarama and more recently: Slide - The Goo-Goo Dolls These songs along with many others made it into my record collection although I'm not a big rock fan. Obviously, Hall & Oates cannot be construde as a rock band. Some other notable "rock" artists who have put out more melodic R&B sounding music include: Carole King Seals & Croft Neil Sedaka Christopher Cross Hamilton, Joe, Frank & Reynolds The Little River Band Pablo Cruise to name a few. This thread refuses to die. Easy, Sam "ALL JAM" |
