| I like disco-rock , when you think about it a lot of rock songs could sound more like disco.. if it would change a few ways that they played the drums... example: Rolling Stones "Shattered" could have been disco... haha Santana - One Chain (Don't Make No Prison) Greg Kihn Band - Jeopardy Boz Scaggs - Lowdown Eagles - One Of These Nights: If Outsider says it's "disco" then it made my list :D Rolling Stones - Miss You -------- I like the way the begining of the record starts + some of the middle on the 12" ... but like the saxophone on the LP version ... (frustrating!!!) Paul McCartney - Goodnight Tonight Grateful Dead - Shakedown Street Stevie Nicks - Stand Back Buddy Miles - Them Changes Aerosmith - Sweet Emotion : it's pretty disco to me :P |

| Well, I probably shouldn't have said that "One Of These Nights" is a disco song, but it is as close to disco as the Eagles ever got. The vocals on that song (the chorus part anyways) remind me of the Bee Gees, so that's probably why I first called it disco. What does it matter? I like the song (and I'm sure that other people here do as well), so that's all that counts. |

| Wow I'm amazed this ancient topic of mine has come back to life. Anyhow I have to agree that "One Of These Nights" by the Eagles does have a disco touch to it. Plus it has a lot of soul in it too. Now here's some more great disco and tracks from rock artists: Mud - Use Your Imagination 1975 British Jigsaw - Sky High 1975 Little River Band - Curiosity Killed The Cat 1975 (Aussie group whom broke in USA in 1979 with "Reminiscing") Sherbet - Howzat 1976 Sherbet - Child's Play 1976 Stevie Wright - Evie Pt 3 1974 (This song is a great blend of 50% disco and 50% hard rock) Peter Allen - I Go To Rio 1976 Doug Parkinson - Everlasting Love 1974 (This Aussie artist did by far the best version of "Everlasting Love") Les Variations - Superman Superman 1975 (Fantastic combination of disco and rock) ______________________ ![]() Big Kev the Aussie Uncle Sam :D (Uncle Kev :D )

| Outsider, I hope you didn't think I was poking fun at ya... One Of These Nights is "disco" disguised as pop rock Now we can argue about me thinking that Aerosmith "Sweet Emotion" is a little disco... however, it has funk elements as well.... Listen to it, a continious thumb on the bass drum.. then it's pure disco ... :D |

| [quote="Marcio"]In 1978 Frank Zappa did a funny and ridicolous song "Lemme Take You To The Beach" (2:44), maybe he was funning with Bee Gees. Zappa also did "Disco Boy" on one album, with the vitange lyric "Shake it more than once, and you're playing with it" At least he was original. Vincent |

| My two picks are "Slow Down" by John Miles. A massive, huge top 3 record and damn was it fast. "Was Dog A Doughnut" by Cat Stevens was another in the sleaze electronic mode that was killer Vincent |

| Have you heard Le Pamplemousse's version of 'Slow Down' - it's not so frantic!
