| It must be obvious to you, but (for me) I was reading in a recent BR mag that during the 90's, the main sound that arrived in the BR clubs was euro-dance which was another thing diffrent from USA house. Do you agree?? |

| They both are synonymous with each other (I failed to mention this in previous posts); i.e., they are both actually one and the same, it's just that someone decided to call dance "house" which in essence was really dance music. When you go to a "club" as they call it now, some call a club a "house" vice a club. Like in the day, disco music was played in a disco and you went to the disco. Actually, all of these genres are evolved disco (which was the first dance or house music); it was just called or given the name disco back then. Garry

| Some underground US Djs use the term dance music for house music, disco etc, for anything used for the dancefloor. And they're right. But, the term "dance music" has been used for commercial purposes. In the 90's, the music that got charted, that sold well, that wasn't at all underground, mainly euro house actually called itself "dance music", ie the only music to dance to. |

They were talking about euro-dance tracks by CORONA, LA BOUCHE, NEWTON, WHIGFIELD, PLAYAHITI, DOUBLE YOU, etc which were all italian/european productions. |
