I knew about Jaques Fred Petrus because of Change, etc. And "Kasso" because it had a lot of airplay back in '82. During the latter part of the '80s in the UK, Italio House sprang up, Sueno Latino among others was doing well, but I wasn't a great big fan of the genre and just liked the odd choon, and therefore didn't make the effort to find out more about artists and song titles.

this week I'll be featuring some Italian style house at the end of my internet radio show, mixed by a local guy here in LA. it's very cool, very different than the sort of house music you normally hear.
f anyone wants to hear it you can go to my website and click on the internet radio tab at the top and there is a timer counting down till show time for those of you in other timezones, or if you're in pacific usa (california etc) its 2 pm on tuesday...
my web address is
http://www.ALLHOUSEMUSIC.com
I will be playing other styles of contemporary house music for about 2 and a half to 3 hours, then the Italio-House duiring the last hour and a half..

The key man in Italian house were Gianfranco Bortolloti. He is behind everything i personaly like, such as: 49'ers, Sharada House Gang, Capella, Club House and many more. Maybe some of you know his song in Italo Disco style: Paul Sharada - Florida.

I loved that Italian House sound at the beginning of the 90's....favourite song was Capella's Helyom Halib on the Media label.

A personal fave Italian house track of mine is 'I Say Yeah' by Secchi featuring Orlando Johnson from '91. Pure class. 8)

I loved both the 49ers and Black Box. I actually saw Black Box perform at the Palladium in NYC (actually, just a few singers with backing music) in the early 90's. Two great albums!

I don't think it qualifies in the same category, but I also loved the D-Mob album, and Captain Hollywood Project from that same era.

Yea, you're right it's not yhe same categorie, it's more eurodance and eurobeat but i also like it. Captain Hollywood was great in the beginning and then in the end i could not stand them how bad they sound!

There was a quite good series of 12" remixes on "distinct'ive" ten years later (2000). But the original paradise version still sounds so fresh, no new versions needed.
Well, I have to correct myself...In fact the props should go to Manuel Göttsching (former Ash Ra Temple) who composed the basic for this tune E2-E4 back in 1984

someone maybe knows?

what was Italian house artist around 1996-1997, with female diva-type vocals. Remember they were good, but that's it. I think it had number in the name (not 49ers, and not Black Box, but similar in style). Had at least one big hit, and a full album released in US as well

maybe someone knows what I am talking about? I know I did not provide much info
