| I'm sure many of you have heard Beyonce's "Naughty Girl" single. She gets some inspiration from the First Lady Of Love and injects a little "Love To Love You Baby" in the intro and at some points throughout. Cool :-)

| Naughty Girl was, most definitely hot!!!! Splendid job with the chorus "Love to Love you Baby" at the end of the song!

| She definitely does a tribute to miss Donna but why oh why is nobody mentioning Prince in connection with this song. Vanity 6 is prominently in that record too. And "Bonnie and Clyde" is partially based on Prince's "If I was your girlfriend". Such a talent, such an influence and yet so underrated by many people  |

| I wanted to comment a little more on Beyonce's "Dangerously In Love" CD, which I have. Aside from "Naughty Girl"'s Love-To-Love-You references, her slower songs pay some homage to a very distinct '70s soul sound that just makes for splendid listening. I find that these references are natural, and do not fall into the "retro" hole that too many modern-day records have suffered from.

| I'm afraid I don't have very high opinion of this song, I've heard it over 300 times on top 40 radio at work and I can't stand it. Especially when she goes "se-exy...... aaaiiiiiiieeeeeeeeee", irritates me really bad. _________________________________________________ AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE!!! OI OI OI!!! :D :D :D

| I'm with you Funky Dude. She is the antithesis of a quality artist. One particular station here, Choice, seems to always be playing her stuff whenever I tune in. I'm glad to see her up there making some dosh, but please...give someone else a chance for airplay. |

| I, like most others who love disco music, am a HUGE fan of Donna Summer's music. I have heard Beyonce's rendition of Vanity6/Donna Summer and I do NOT like it! In fact I don't think I listened to Beyonce's song all the way through because I thought that her's was a POOR imitation. There is only ONE person who can "do" Donna Summer and that is the Disco Diva/Queen herself!!!!!!!!!!! There are just certain artists who cannot and should not EVER be covered, and Donna is one of them! There is no female singer, contemporary or otherwise, who has the vocal range that Donna has/had, especially in her disco hey-dey. Her voice was/is sheer perfection!!!!!! Those Mororder songs were tailor-made for her and ONLY her! Surely, anyone who truly loves Disco music can appreciate and understand my commentary here. Vanity 6, much like Donna, cannot be successfully covered either! While both Donna and Vanity (6) may often be imitated, they can NEVER be duplicated! With all that said I have some nice things to say about Beyonce. While I don't think she is much of a vocal talent, I do admire her hard work ethic and positive/professional attitude. In those ways I think that she is an inspiration for young girls aspiring to follow her lead. |
