Default Pete Burns / Pet Shop Boys new single

Yes, the totally fabby & unique Mr.Burns (minus Dead Or Alive) has a new single out produced by none other than my favourite UK act of all-time, Pet Shop Boys!!!! :P This has got to be their best & most interesting collaboration since the Liza Minelli one in '89. The track is called 'Jack & Jill Party' & has a very sleazy/sinister sound about it but it also has a strong Bobby O sound about it too which is a return to both acts' roots (PSBs & D.or A. were both influenced by him & PSBs even worked with him on their early stuff).
The bad news is it's only available via Pet Shop Boys' official website but I s'pose that's the way things are heading these days. (this is where I start to sound old & out of touch! :( ) It's on CD or 12" so I got the 12" of course!

OMG!!! Pete Burns! Now there's a name I haven't thought about for at least 15 years. A rather unlikely comeback if you ask me.

It's not really a comeback as Dead Or Alive have never stopped making dance records for the last 20 years but they don't seem to mean much anymore outside of Japan! I've followed their career as I'm a huge fan of the scary Mr.Burns; he really is a one-off. :o It's a similar story for Pet Shop Boys; they've never stopped making excellent records but so many people in the UK that I encounter seem to think they've 'disappeared'; I find this really strange as Neil Tennant crops up in many areas of the media these days.

Pete Burns is definitely a bisexual man & married to a woman; his appearance is more what I'd term 'person of indeterminate sex' with his massive collegan 'trout pout', 'Cher'-like hair & outrageous clothes. Despite what some people think is a feminine look, don't be fooled as Mr.Burns is well-known for his vicious left hook & doesn't tolerate fools gladly! His tongue is also fairly vicious but that's a more stereotypical tranny characteristic I s'pose!

If he isn't hurting anyone what's the problem? I never understand why people criticise others for being different & happy; it just shows up their own insecurities I s'pose.
