I think a lot of records are termed early house including the likes of Colonel Abrams ,D Train etc because the production of the tracks were more like the dub/remix tracks usually found on b sides with the vocal added on top.The conventional instruments were being replaced by electronics so the producers could now make the tracks themselves.The next step was that the studio only equipment became available (affordable) to the public which started the first forms of house music. The term house music was to do with the wharehouse club not because it was made in a house as Garage is not called garage because its made in a garage.

i think i am right in saying this, but if i am wrong then i will stand corrected but the first house music tune was "your love' - jamie principle + frankie knuckles back in early 83
the second house tune was on + on - jesse saunders also done in 83 yet only got put down on vinyl in 85 before this it was only on tape

it's house - chip E was the tune that is said defined the house sound as frankie knucles was still classed as a dj n not an artist then

and of course u will know the first house music anthem is classed as move your body - marshall jefferson closely followed by no way back - adonis
