hey anyone in here like the motown classics. If any of you are collectors like myself, I found some limited editions of the Four Tops 50th anniversary CD. It's a double disc with all of their greatest hits. Thought some of you might be interested here. This is the website for the official Universal Music Store auction: www.universalmusicstore.com/motown, the Four Tops section is right in the middle of the page.

hmmm...I've never really been a big four tops fan. I'm a temptations guy  Suppose some Four Tops still belongs in every music collection - a greatest hits package may just do the trick.

It's kinda hard to compare the TEMPS/TOPS because they were both MOTOWN powerhouses... However, Barry Gordy liked them more (Temps)... and perhaps gave them the best material. I would rate more FOUR TOPS songs higher than some TEMPTATIONS songs but overall the TEMPS would win because they had 1000 hits vs. TOPS. by the way we should move this topic to the NORTHERN SOUL/R&B thread
