Any Led Zeppelin fans here? I recently purchased "How The West Was Won", and it's incredible. There's no doubt that they were a great live act. Now I need to get the new DVD of theirs (it's simply called "DVD"). Until now, the only available live footage of them was "Song Remains The Same". But it's great this material has finally surfaced.

Hey Outsider I'm a big Zeppelin fan - thanks to my ex boyfriend. I didn't purchase "How The West Was Won" but I do have two greatest hits cds (the covers have the guys in astronaut suits). The record industry states that the greatest rock song of all time is "Stairway To Heaven" but IMO, I feel that "Kashmir" should have that title. My favorite hits are: Kashmir...of course Dazed & Confused Black Dog Immigrant Song What Is And What Should Never Be Whole Lotta Love Babe I'm Gonna Leave You *DISCO DELIGHT*

I loved their first LP and as far as singles go I particularly liked the 7" copy of Communication Breakdown. Soon after this I was DJing quite a lot and so................wouldn't know much else by them.

I agree that it's definitely impossible to not like at last one Led Zeppelin song (it's like not liking at least one Beatles song: it's not possible). Anyways, here's some of my favorite songs of theirs: "Wanton Song" "Ten Years Gone" "Over The Hills And Far Away" "Houses Of The Holy" "Trampled Under Foot" "Communication Breakdown" "Dancing Days" "Black Dog" "Nobody's Fault But Mine" "Whole Lotta Love" "Fool In The Rain" I could on and on here. Believe it or not, "Stairway To Heaven" isn't one of my favorite songs from them. Led Zeppelin was one band that was ahead of their time.

Wow, talking about ZEP on a disco site! Incredible! I didn't hear the "new" CD yet, but I'm sure it's great. I have ALL their albums - and my favorite are LED III, IV (of course), HOUSES OF THE HOLY and PHYSICAL GRAFFITI ( the best record they made). Whe I was in my teens (in the late 70's) I saw THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME on a cinema and it was a mind blowing experience for me! Some favorite songs by ZEP: THE RAIN SONG IN MY TIME OF DYING KASHMIR SINCE I'VE BEEN LOVING YOU ROCK'N'ROLL THE ROVER TRAMPLED UNDER FOOT BABY COME ON HOME Peace, zeca azevedo

| Before I switched into soul music, I was into progressive rock. Like 99% of people in my class at the time. And I used to love Led Zeppelin. Most of that tracks mentioned above were faves but I would pick out: Houses Of The Holy Immigrant Song Trampled Underfoot and, of course, Stairway To Heaven

Thanks for asking! :) There is a very good explanation... I went to the local Grammar School, which was also all white in a very snobbish town (still is) in the South of England. I don't know what the equivalent of the school is in the US - High School? When I was 16, I went with some school friends to a disco that played a mixture of soul and rock (Status Quo being very popular at the time). I liked the disco very much - especially the soul/disco music, which I discovered for the first time! So, in order to finance my Saturday nights out to the disco, I got a Saturday job in a supermarket where most of the guys were from the second (technical) Grammar school in my town, which was not so pretentious or academic and they all liked SOUL! So that is how I converted! From a rock fan to a soul fan in one swoop!! And I've been a soul fan ever since - for my sins!!!!

I got to mention this. The few friends I had in the neighborhood liked rock and only rock :-? ... however, a local radio station played Isley Brothers - Climbin' Up The Ladder they absolutely loved it!!! They made me play that song over and over and over.... how funny
