| I've only heard the Love To Infinity version and I'm not too thrilled with it. Any other opinions on this tune? I think it's one of those songs that is so closely associated with the original artist that it's hard not to compare the remake to the original. | Yes, I would have to agree with you on this. As much as I love Kristine W's vocals and past repertoire, I'm just not crazy about her decision to cover The Boss. The circuit bunch are all ga-ga about it of course but this is a song that's just too perfect in its original form and has such memorable musical significance that it seems unnecessary to cover it. The Braxtons (Toni's sisters) did cover it 10 years ago and actually did a nice job but it seemed to stay true to the feel of Ross's classic performance. And the Love To Infinity remix is the one that keeps any of the beauty of the song...the other mixes mould it to the tastes of those edgy, bad-ass boys who demand (or rather pout) hard beats with no emotion. The Vasquez mix is interesting if I put away any of my recollections of the original.
