Default Tribute to the disco years ?

Does this kind of track (rather house), Joss Stone - Tell Me About It, reworked by Yam Who pays tribute to the disco period ?

Here's a link to a low bite rate extract, in order to make yourself your own opinion

I dont know if this particular Track was meant to be an Homage to Disco ,but it certainly has a HEAVY Disco Influence..ala Loeatta Holloway and other Diva's of the Disco era..
In essence all Dance music is paying tribute to Disco because that's where the concept came from...
Joss Stone has that natural soulful flow...GO MISS JOSS~!!

It's definitely nodding rather enthusiastically to Disco, but ultimately sounds a tad sterile to my ears. It's just about O.K.

Joss Stone has a truly wonderful voice and deep rooted soul sensibilities for one who's still so young. Let's hope she produces some more stunning music in the years to come and isn't a has-been already.

I agree with that opinion, it's good but not captivating. It sounds Disco-ish but it lacks some punch.

I prefer the more Soul-ish version and yes, Joss Stone is a great vocalist, I like her very much!

100% agree but we are blessed in this country with great female singers, black and white who have 'soul', not to mention great voices!
