Bernie , each passing of these folks from the disco era ...very sad and yet inevitable .
I've taken an interest in Gene Page as of late but see he has passed away years ago. He could have revealed so much ... its a shame he's gone without providing more info about his life's work . Wish more artists/producers/DJs/ record people would write books.
And now Al Downing ... a small player .... but one of the first ..and it would have been interesting to hear any and all he could possibly share about his hit "I'll Be Holding On". ......Is his brother, Don Downing , still arouind ?
Are you actively trying to achieve interviews with various names from those times? Your interviews are so important and some will probably be the last opportunity for some of these folks to reflect and share their inside experiences.

I sure hope you are .... and is there anything anyone can do to be of assistance?

Remicks,
Thanks for the nice words and offer of assistance. I have been so busy this past year that future interviews are not likely.

Besides the lack of time other forces make it unappealing for me to devote so much time to writing / conducting interviews: So many people who I would like to interview are not cooperative. They make unreasonable demands, give me the run-around or never submit requested info... and some have even not finished an ongoing interview. They seem to come around only when they have something to plug. Finally, once the interview is on the web it gets copied by others. I'd rather leave the work to someone else and focus on the site itself.
